McKayla Rose Maroney also known under the name 'MackAir Maroney" is a well-known American athlete that has earned two gold medals in the Summer Olympic Games of 2012: a individual silver for the vault and a gold with her team. It was her involvement with sports when she was a kid which inspired her to take up training in gymnastics. She is a specialist in vaulting. She is the sole gymnast to be successful in the defense of the gold medal she first earned in the 2011 World Championship, and then defended it in 2013 Championship. It was disappointing for her to win only a silver at the Olympics in 2012. She hoped for a gold medal to be won again at her next Rio Olympic Games.
