Awkwafina
American musician and actor Awkwafina made her debut with humorous songs that dealt with sexual identity and race with a an incisive and humorous perspective, before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants and Koreans. The classical, jazz, and hip-hop training began as she was a teenager. Following a focus on education, she earned an education in journalism at college and a women's studies specialization. After graduating, it wasn't until that she shifted her focus on music. Her song My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in 2012. It eventually made it in her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album also contained also were viral songs like Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitchethe cost of $. The latter track was connected to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. Her resume included both the musician and author. She was now looking for a new career path in acting. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors as well as Storks. In 2018, her breakthrough role was in Dude Ocean's 8 along with Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
